Transformation is responsible managing and delivering change and technology investment for NN Life Japan. We provide resource, project, and portfolio management services, process’ and governance to effectively deliver change for NN life Japan. We provide business and financial management and insights for Technology and change; We aim to build and support best in practice Agile delivery organization through our Agile COE and recruiting, training, and developing our people. We lead the digitalization and automation of our process’ and reporting to provide actionable insights and drive efficiency across Technology."

In 2018 NN Life Japan adopted a version of the Spotify / SAFe Agile delivery model. We have fixed products and squads aligned with each of our business areas. Our agile organization is supported by the Value Management Office. The VMO is responsible for managing NN Life Japan’s change portfolio and the adoption and promotion of agile best practice through the Agile COE.

【Position Summary/ 役職概要

The Agile Portfolio Manager will report to the Head of the Value Management Office. They will work closely with the Product Owners to understand and prioritize the project portfolio in line with company strategy. They will understand and manage dependencies across the portfolio, optimize resource allocations to enable delivery of corporate objects.

The Agile Portfolio Manager lead portfolio intake, planning and prioritization process, reporting and analytics, to ensure the portfolio is executed to a high level of quality and delivers real value to NNLJ. They will ensure compliance with our methodologies and governance, provide visibility on the status of the portfolio and develop best practices across the organization.

This position will work to promote and develop best practices delivery and help shape our future delivery organization.

The Agile Portfolio Manager will work closely with the other leaders within the Transformation area as well as, but not limited to, C-level executives, Risk, IT Security, Product Owners, and other divisions.

Key Accountabilities/ 主な責務

  • Manage the agile portfolio within NN Life Japan
  • Work closely with Product Owners on Intake and Prioritize initiatives in the portfolio in line with company strategy.
  • Continuously drive improvements in the portfolio and agile delivery process and develop/deliver training to build best practices.
  • Responsible for portfolio reporting and management
  • Develop and apply best practices and tools for project portfolio execution and management reporting.
  • Maintain a library of portfolio documentation and presentation material. Providing consistent and effective portfolio dashboards, scorecards and reports that reflect the performance of the project’s portfolio.

【Skills, Knowledge, Experience/ 技術、知識、経験

  • Portfolio management specialist with proven portfolio/project/agile management experience
  • Excellent track record of successful portfolio delivery in a multidisciplinary regulated environment
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making and strategic project thinking.
  • Proven track record of developing and educating staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with stakeholders from all levels
  • Ability to network and influence stakeholders, with clear communication and relationship skills
  • Act as an Agile and Compliance ambassador for the CHANGE Organization
  • Agile training certification such as SAFe highly regarded
  • Portfolio Management qualifications are a plus (MoP etc.)
  • Ability to challenge, with high levels of ownership, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Bilingual English and Japanese
