Amazon Ads exists at the intersection of marketing and ecommerce and offers advertisers a rich array of
innovative advertising solutions across Amazon owned properties as well as third party properties Amazon operates. We believe that advertising, when done well, can greatly enhance the value of the customer experience and generate a positive return on investment for our advertising partners.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated analytics and insights expert to help scale our growing Amazon Ads business. The role is a key member of the Sales organization, working closely with our external customers (advertisers) as well as internal teams across Sales, Product, Marketing and Retail. The role utilizes the wide range of unique data across Amazon and translate it into high-quality and actionable insights and recommendations to improve advertisers' business outcomes and full funnel ads performance on Amazon. Day to day, the role's activities include analyzing ads and business data, applying data science or marketing science methodologies, developing insights-driven narratives and recommendations for both internal teams and advertisers, presenting in C-suite advertiser leadership meetings, and working across internal functional teams to drive key business initiatives.
You Will
- Leverage Amazon’s wide range of data to develop analytical assets and insight narratives
- Own analytics related strategic conversations internally and externally; Present findings and insights in a consultative way to advertisers
- Be able to deal with ambiguity in order decipher complex problems, select an ideal solution from a wide array of analytic techniques and concepts and translate into actionable requirements for your team
- Have the ability to collaborate, work cross-functionally and communicate effectively across multiple business functions and geographies to develop analytical solutions and drive key business initiatives
- Provide data-driven guidance to C-suite advertiser leaders, via business reviews and frequent in-person advertiser presentations, to regularly iterate on and articulate a brand’s strategy and influence their marketing initiatives
- Demonstrate good analytical ability, and develop great expertise in Amazon’s proprietary tools and metrics, working to constantly evolve how we analyze and communicate data driven insights to our advertisers
- Demonstrate behavior that exemplifies the Amazon Leadership Principles
About the team
The Analytics & Insights team is a key member of the Amazon Ads Sales organization. We provide analytics-driven Sales enablement support internally as well as insights-based consulting for advertisers. Our team deliver impactful insights incorporating knowledge of existing measurement and product capabilities. We innovate to stay ahead of industry trends and cater to diverse advertiser/agency needs. We enable scaling of insights through strategic partnerships with product and engineering team.

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
- Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of IT implementation experience
- Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
- Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
