The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Network Support Engineer who is proficient in both Japanese and English to join our IT team. This position is critical for ensuring the seamless operation of our network and application infrastructure, supporting end-users, and maintaining our system performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking fundamentals, experience in application support, and excellent troubleshooting skills in a multi-lingual, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor and maintain the stability and security of our network infrastructure, identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
  • Application Support: Provide technical support for enterprise applications, handling user issues, configurations, upgrades, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Incident Management: Diagnose, analyze, and resolve network and application-related incidents, working closely with both Japanese and English-speaking stakeholders.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application and network issues, documenting solutions and best practices for future reference.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including IT, infrastructure, and business units to support ongoing projects and ensure network/application compatibility and stability.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation in both Japanese and English, including system configuration, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports.
  • User Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to end-users and internal teams to enhance system understanding and adherence to IT protocols.



Ideal Profile

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in network or application support roles.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and enterprise-level applications.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and OSI layers.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and remote troubleshooting software.
  • Familiarity with various application environments (e.g., web servers, databases, and middleware).
  • Languages:
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English (business-level proficiency).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL Foundation are highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in a multinational company or bilingual environment.
