As an Associate in the Asset Management - Middle Office Project Management team, you will be instrumental in promoting strategic initiatives and aiding the transformation of our operations in Japan. Collaborating closely with portfolio managers, trading desks, and technology partners, you will design and implement solutions that are in line with our global operating model. Your contributions will ensure scalability and provide support for our business initiatives, thereby significantly impacting our operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage APAC Operations middle office strategic initiatives with a focus on Japan.
  • Partner with local and regional teams to deliver strategic operating models.
  • Define and design end-to-end operating environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Support new product and market rollouts from an operational perspective.
  • Drive system implementation and integration efforts.
  • Ensure alignment with global operating models.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external service providers.
  • Articulate complex operational processes and business requirements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, to support operations.
  • Maintain a strategic mindset and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in middle office or asset management operations.
  • Basic understanding of asset management business and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
  • CFA certification is an advantage.
