Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our Client Technology Service (CTS) in Japan (either Tokyo or Fukuoka).

The Japan CTS Team is responsible for owning the overall design of assigned technical projects (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs. This role as a Technical Business Analyst will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements. An individual filling the Technical Business Analyst role should be comfortable being introduced during a business engagement and can articulate possible solutions applicable to experience with cloud-based solutions. The Technical Business Analyst will also be responsible for writing a functional specifications or stories (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the business users. These specifications will need to be precise and clear as the Technical Business Analyst will delegate some work to fellow team members such as developers, consultants, or product support / documentation. Ideally the Technical Business Analyst is engaged in best practice development initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and familiarity with proven cloud solutions that support vertical objectives.

What you will be responsible for

As IT Business Analyst you will:

  • Be responsible for recording and analyzing requirements for interfaces to and from different financial systems.
  • Collaborating with the relevant specialist in business and technology teams
  • Design a functional solution based on the requirements collected, describe the required architecture and processes and specify the requirements for implementation.
  • Develop and maintain the data mapping required for data processing.
  • Support development and user testing of the overall solution.
  • Actively participate in project or strategy related discussions.
  • Oversees, and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies (e.g. finance, business informatics, mathematics) or comparable
  • Experience in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of interface solutions in the financial industry.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in requirements analysis and data stream design
  • Fluent Japanese and English language in writing and reading.
