Job Description
This role is exclusively focused on business development, involving client acquisition and relationship-building with C-level executives and HR leaders across industries. As a Business Development Consultant, Principal, or Client Partner, your primary goal will be to expand the client portfolio, develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, and present tailored executive search solutions to meet leadership needs.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and approach potential clients across industries to offer executive search services.
- Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends and develop tailored pitches for new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their leadership challenges and business goals.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering valuable insights and solutions.
- Achieve individual revenue targets by securing exclusive agreements with new clients.
- Negotiate contracts and manage pricing discussions in line with company policies.
- Actively participate in networking events, conferences, and industry forums to build a strong presence and represent the company.
- Enhance the firm’s visibility through strategic marketing initiatives and by leveraging your professional network.
- Work closely with the executive search delivery teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and the search process.
- Provide client feedback to internal teams to optimize service delivery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition, preferably in executive search, recruitment, or a related field.
- Proven experience in achieving or exceeding revenue targets in a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of the executive search or recruitment industry.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
- High level of commercial acumen, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Results-driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Team-oriented and collaborative, with a focus on delivering value to clients.
