Substance is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager who has entrepreneurial spirit and has worked at or worked for a start-up business for a client we are working for.
The Business Development Manager will develop and implement growth strategies, identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and negotiate contracts.
Note: This is a local position that does not offer visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive company growth
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the startup, venture capital, and private equity spaces.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with both client and company objectives
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitors, using insights to refine sales strategies
- Collaborate closely with the team to deliver a seamless client experience
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of cloud solutions
Requirements
- Business Development, Sales, and Account Management skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with top-level executives.
- From VC as associate or F/A, well connected with startup ecosystem and startups
- Experience in developing growth strategies and identifying new business opportunities
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is a plus (as you will be liaising with some chinese counterparts and clients)
- Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field
