As a Business Support Coordinator, Japan at Qantas, you'll play a pivotal role in providing the highest level of administrative support to the Regional General Manager Japan and the regional hub to ensure key business objectives are met. In addition, you will also get involved in key projects and initiatives.

In this role you will be responsible to:

  • Manage office tasks to ensure 100% completion and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Coordinate regional commercial initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain office resources, schedule travel, reconcile invoices, and generate reports.
  • Process invoices, track budgets, and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Support HR tasks, including onboarding, Workday processes, and employee engagement.
  • Plan corporate events and drive engagement initiatives.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, including with government bodies.
  • Draft executive reports and deliver insightful analysis for senior management.
  • Lead sales activity analysis, providing data insights to optimize revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively manage risks

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in the aviation industry (advantageous).
  • Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business or related studies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Strong understanding of customer impact on product decisions.
  • Operational knowledge of work processes and systems within commercial teams.
  • Proactive, able to achieve outcomes independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills to support Qantas stakeholder integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Experience in dynamic, fast-paced team environments.
  • Ability to think clearly, creatively, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Flexible approach to work and responsibilities.
  • Proven project management experience with prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Power BI experience is desirable.
