About the role
We are looking for a pro-active, motivated and result oriented Client Underwriter. You will take responsibility for underwriting and account management for P&C treaty reinsurance with clients in Japan, including kyosai clients (Japanese mutual insurers).
You will engage with clients, brokers and industry associations on strategic, commercial and technical topics, building long term relationships. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will identify and originate new opportunities to support your clients, differentiating Swiss Re and delivering the full value of the organization.

About the team
Client Underwriting Japan is a self-contained team in Tokyo, responsible for Swiss Re's Property and Casualty business with domestic clients in Japan. We benefit from an inclusive office environment where collaboration and fun help create strong bonds. You will work closely alongside an experienced team of Client Underwriters, with access to Swiss Re's full cross-functional presence locally and across the broader global organisation. You will report to the Head of Client Underwriting Japan.
