Description
* Manage a portfolio of corporate, financial institutions, and real estate counterparties.
* Review credit proposals, write reports, and recommend or approve transactions.
* Assess risk for commercial banking facilities and capital market products.
* Support business teams with trade structuring solutions within risk appetite.
* Monitor target markets, conduct due diligence, and ensure portfolio quality.
* Contribute to the development of risk policies and credit documentation standards.
* Engage with internal and external audit inquiries and risk governance initiatives.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Profile
* Minimum 5 years of credit risk experience, preferably within investment banking.
* Strong knowledge of derivatives, structured transactions, and leveraged lending.
* Experience in distressed debt, restructuring, and credit documentation.
* Ability to independently manage complex transactions and risk assessment.
* Native-level Japanese to analyze local financial disclosures and documentation.
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
* Undergraduate degree required; formal credit training or CFA preferred.
