Digital Marketing Specialist - Japan

We’re looking for an experienced Digital Strategist with excellent English to join our global team. LSEG is a large, sometimes complex business - our goal within the wider LSEG Marketing Team is simple: to delight our customers and support business priorities.

The Digital Marketing and Automation Team partners with colleagues across the business to define and enable digital experiences that engage and inform our customers. Role summary:

This role will lead and optimise LSEG’s Japanese website, www.lseg.com/ja creating engaging experiences that attract visitors and drive conversions, ultimately supporting our business objectives.

As the Digital Localisation Specialist, you will collaborate with colleagues who may be based in different countries to publish and optimise digital experiences which raise awareness of LSEG’s thought leadership and drive high-quality leads in the local market. With your expertise in utilising insight data and tools, you will recommend new site capabilities to enhance user journeys, improve engagement and conversion. The site uses Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

To excel in this position, outstanding Japanese and English language communication skills (written and spoken) are vital. Strong stakeholder and project management capabilities with attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Highly motivated with a positive demeanour is also desirable. Additionally, being technically savvy, able to learn new concepts and technologies quickly would be an advantage.

What you'll be doing:

  • Handling the creation, updating and enhancements of web page content on the Japanese site
  • Working with a translation agency on localising website content
  • Reviewing translated materials - web pages, images, video transcripts, charts, documents - to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensuring translated content is effectively optimised for SEO
  • Using a project management tool e.g. Workfront to organise and monitor translation projects, provide status updates to team members
  • Ensuring the website aligns to LSEG’s accessibility guidelines
  • Devising and implementing A/B tests to identify the optimal digital approach in local market
  • Using insights from tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and Glassbox to develop a strategy to optimise growth
  • Collaborating with the local marketing and business teams to support local initiatives
  • Preparing regular website performance reports to update management on progress and recommend opportunities to drive stronger performance
  • Supporting the Search Marketing team to localise and optimise local language paid search campaigns
  • Supporting ad hoc initiatives from other teams
  • Occasional calls outside regular business hours required to support global partners in other time zones
  • Conducting market research, competitor analysis and analyse user behaviour/journey to inform strategy and decisions

What you'll bring:

  • Excellent Japanese and English communication and influencing skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • 2+ years of experience handling multi-language websites, translation projects, content authoring, SEO, analytics
  • Experience creating optimal web experiences and user journeys which follow best practice
  • Track record of designing and implementing data-driven digital strategies to drive traffic and conversion
  • Good understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first strategies
  • Demonstrable knowledge of full digital marketing mix including SEO, SEM, A/B testing and personalisation, analytics, and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with strong prioritisation and project management skills
  • Dedicated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Experience with Content Management System preferably Adobe Experience Manager
  • Experience using tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and the Microsoft Office suite would be an advantage
  • Track record handling large-scale, sophisticated website projects
  • Familiarity with paid advertising platforms and social channels would be an advantage
