Key Responsibilities

The Director of Engineering manages all technical aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring that systems, equipment, and facilities function optimally. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Leading and managing the engineering team to perform regular preventive maintenance and respond promptly to urgent repairs.
• Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to hotel operations.
• Coordinating with other departments to minimize disruptions caused by maintenance or repairs.
• Developing and managing the engineering department’s budget, focusing on cost-effective maintenance and resource utilization.
• Implementing energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Reporting to the General Manager and other executives regarding operational performance, budget adherence, and facility conditions.
