■Technical Sales
【Objectives of the Position】
Plan and direct sales activities in Japan in order to achieve agreed sales, profit, volume, pricing and selling costs objectives by implementing overall sales strategy, applying sales skills and technical knowledge.
Implement business development and customer management (including relationship management) by initially identifying potential customers, provision of updated market intelligence to supervisor/team, coordination with customer services/logistics personnel where necessary, assistance in product promotion etc.
Expand business with distributors and target customers including GKAs / RKAs in Japan & the region by developing the account plan and its regular update. Coordination requires expertise and strategic overview / alignment with both reginal & global BU.
【Main Tasks】
Customer / distributor management
Customer management including customer relationship management. Management of customer pricing, contract and payment receivable. Handling and closing of difficult/complicated customer issues. Creation/update of the account / distributor plan and its implementation.
Sales management & business development
Implementation of business strategy for KPIs achievement and NBD (New Business Development) management based on the market, customer and technical knowledge.
Market intelligence
Seeking the opportunity & reporting the market & customer info timely to superior/team including the proposal of idea of the new product and new market approach.
Situational leadership & teamwork
Support team activity and business performance through the effective communication with the team. Proactively share the knowledge and best practice with the team members to support their success.
Product Promotion (market communications, symposium, webinars and inhouse seminars)
Lead Sub regional seminars/workshops and trainings with customers (including our distributors) to disseminate technical expertise and support sales efforts.
Support Technical Service colleague and community to promote products.
【Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position 】
Communication skill: excellent communication capability with sufficient Japanese and English proficiency
Education
Minimum bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, or related fields. Ph.D. of Pharmacy is preferred.
Working Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in formulation development in in the Pharmaceutical or Bio-pharmaceutical industry
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions for complex problems through product and process knowledge.
