Main Duties:
- To define and achieve the short-, mid- and long-term objectives of Aesthetic Business Unit
- To be accountable for financial leadership of the Business Unit. He/she delivers agreed upon BU operating plan and budget, ensuring sales, expenses and exceed target, maintaining financial integrity consistent with Galderma values
- To implement the marketing strategy, maximizing and accelerating the sustainable growth of Restylane, and develop future growth plan for Japan Aesthetic business, setting clear priorities for investments and projects
- To develop, supervise and control the sales and marketing activities to ensure meeting set objectives in market shares, sales and profit
- To lead sales and marketing teams inspiring their professional development and commitment within Corporate value
- Adhere to related laws, regulations, Galderma Code of Ethics, and any other applicable Codes and SOPs
- As a member of Japan Leadership Team, lead and drive Japan Galderma organization (Galderma K.K.) to expand the companies’ business performance
Business Unit Management (Sales, Marketing, Business Unit P&L)
- Define and develop the annual sales/marketing plan based on regional/global guidelines to achieve objectives as set in the Annual Brand Plan, orchestrating and consolidating them into an overall Company plan. Based on regional/global guidelines, he/she defines the local marketing program
- Ensure continuous coordination in the planning/implementation process with other functions such as Finance, Regulatory and Logistics and regional/global functions. This position proactively recognizes change in market and proposes respective action plans
- Define and develop the commercial strategy including sales operation planning such as setting SFE targets and key account planning and ensures that commercial policies are relevant and compliant to Company rules (prices, commercial conditions etc.)
- Assess market opportunities for further enhancement of Japan Aesthetic business performance and lead planning and implementation of growth acceleration strategy including launch of new products in collaboration with related functions and regional/global BU
- Ensure achievement of required brand performance such as market share, sales and profit via disciplined tracking of KPIs. He/she provides accurate sales forecasts and constantly monitors BU performance versus target in order to timely identify deviations and to take necessary actions to ensure achievement
- Responsible to properly monitor actual/ planned sales and marketing expenditures against budget and aims at the optimal performance of return on investment
- Control and monitor the marketing and sales activities and initiate measures to address deviations of plan if indicated
People Management
- Ensure hiring right talent at right timing in collaboration with HR
- Lead, encourage and motivate the people of the BU (especially coaching, personnel development, people appraisal and succession planning in cooperation with HR)
- Develop the sales and marketing talents and empower/coach them
Requirements
Education:
- University degree (Science, Business related), MBA Preferred
- Fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English
Work Experience:
- Minimum ten years of experience in medical device, especially aesthetic / skin related experience leading Marketing / Sales departments
- Brand manager / New product launch experience in Japanese medical device market
- People Management including sales force
- Expertise of local aesthetic / medical device market
- Financial, Proven P&L, Resource allocation skills, Ability to negotiate with impact and influence
