Assist to build a cohesive team across the different brands and functions in Japan that lives the VF Japan culture.
Coordinate with brand/functional leaders in planning and implementing various human resources policies and procedures. Keep abreast with market practices to ensure that they are current, relevant and competitive.
Deploy global performance management and common review programs with talent development team. Organize training and talent review (including local facilitation, scheduling, and logistic arrangement), track completion rate and ensure performance objectives are in place.
Lead to recruit top talent for office and retail perm/temp positions. This includes agent selection and communication, posting of recruitment ads, internal job posting, shortlisting of candidates, schedule interview (in person or virtual), interview result consolidation, propose salary and making offer of employment. Involve in employee lifecycle support and conducting employee conversation by needs.
Knowledgeable in payroll, social insurance, year-end adjustment and social insurance practice. Capable to provide information to payroll service provider and checking the payroll accuracy to ensure legal compliance
Capable to assist HR Manager on annual budgeting, market salary range research and scenario cost simulation.
Assist Brand/Function manager to review team member status to ensure the organization is on the right track and provide solutions to attract and retain people required to implement the company's business strategies
Lead the discussion with employee benefit vendor on terms and service scope. Manage the administration of employee benefits in Japan/regional scope including company lease for associates, enrollment of insurance, market research on premium plan, preparing the cost breakdown for insurance premium etc
Take in charge of occupational physical/mental health management, health committee and company doctor communication cooperating with FM person.
Organize cross functional employee activities such as town hall meetings, culture survey, round tables and engagement events.
Capable to ensure the effective maintenance and usage of the Workday HR system in Japan
Be the custodian of policies and procedures in the office and ensure compliance.
Knowledgeable in Japan labor related laws. Regularly review/update the Employee Handbook and other internal policies to fit both compliance and business support direction needs.
Take role as brand business partner to provide all HR service to brand
Assist HR manager to implement retail evaluation/promotion program to develop retail talent
Supporting change management projects to ensure great communication and planning around employees
Other tasks assigned by line manager or brand managers

Experience:
Minimum 5-year experience in HR field in MNC or retail industry, (5 years progressive responsibility in a professional HR role with a proven track record of positive interaction with both leaders and employees). Retail experience is preferred
Acquire with diverse HR exposures
Knowledgeable in Japan employment and mandatory insurance regulations
Others:
Class-2 health officer's license (第二種衛生管理者免許)
Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with at least 4 years’ relevant experience in a MNC environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good command of MS Office applications, especially in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Good analytical skills and logical thinking
Proficiency in English and Japanese
Able to work independently and take ownership as well as working as part of a broader marketplace team
