The role of Key Account Manager will be responsible for winning new business and revenue through our Reseller partners in the Japan region, and working closely with Kinaxis senior management to contribute to the overall growth strategy of Kinaxis. What you’ll do

  • Grow revenues and win new Customer accounts in Japan through our Reseller partner channel.
  • Develop Reseller Partner engagement and sales plans / continually coordinate closely with our Kinaxis Partner Management team.
  • Engage with Reseller executives and sales teams, and motivate / manage them to build Maestro sales pipelines and sell Maestro to their Prospects.
  • Continually educate Reseller sales teams about our Maestro solution, sales points, Kinaxis Customer case studies, and competitive information.
  • Work with Reseller sales teams to review & strategize on all Prospect opportunities, ensuring that they have the information and sales assets they need to win – become the trusted advisor to our Reseller sales teams.
  • Help Resellers qualify Prospect opportunities based on Maestro product fit, Prospect budget, and competitive landscape.
  • Manage the execution of Kinaxis’ sales process and leverage appropriate Kinaxis resources to secure license subscription bookings via Resellers.
  • Help Reseller sales teams understand Prospect critical business issues and strategic initiatives, and help them understand how to link Kinaxis solutions to these areas to ensure we provide unique value to Customers.
  • Meet Prospects side by side with Resellers, continually help Resellers to sell Maestro more effectively, and also become a trusted advisor to the Prospect.
  • Establish and maintain high-level, executive contacts at Prospect Accounts, focusing on maintaining direct strategic relationships with them.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to Kinaxis executives based upon realistic close timelines.
  • Utilize Kinaxis’ CRM tools to track all opportunities and Prospect related information.

What we are looking for

  • Ten to fifteen years’ experience in selling strategic, enterprise level mission critical solutions (SCM, ERP, BI)
  • Sales experience in High Tech Electronics, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Automotive and similar manufacturing-oriented industries
  • Aggressive, highly motivated hunter who has achieved or exceeded sales quota through sales in new or emerging markets or sales of “Best of Breed” technologies
  • Demonstrated track record of closing New Named Accounts in the past 2 years
  • Experience working in different Japan markets and geographies
  • Experience working within the global organization of a Western company is a definite asset
  • Ability to penetrate and sell to executive level decision-makers
  • Ability to sell to multiple constituencies within an organization (Manufacturing Operations, Demand Management, Finance, IT)
  • Consultative, value-proposition/business case driven sales methodology experience
  • Must be an articulate, persuasive and passionate communicator
  • Ability to work and act independently and be pro-active
  • Able to travel up to 75%
