About the Team
The legal team is growing together with our company and is committed to providing top-end in-house legal services to our internal clients. We are looking for a competent candidate to join us to work closely with internal stakeholders to provide pragmatic and strategic advice on [commercial legal matters, as well as] innovative enterprise and consumer product offerings and services in the region.
This position provides candidates with a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Candidates must be highly collaborative, self-motivated, adept at strategic thinking, and intellectually curious.
This role will be based in Tokyo.
Responsibilities
Liaising closely with cross functional business colleagues, both inside and outside Japan, as well as with global legal colleagues to:
- Support launch of e-commerce business in Japan;
- Support ad sales business in Japan; and
- Depending on aptitude and willingness, support other aspects of the business in Japan.
Candidate will be expected to work independently on a wide range of issues, ranging from, for example, the provision of legal advice on legal, regulatory, compliance and commercial matters, negotiating and drafting legal documents, and management of outside counsel.
