We are looking for a Logistics Analyst in Okinawa, Japan.
SUMMARY:
Provide Logistics support to Defense Policy Review Initiative (DPRI)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate completed BCP with USACE, MCIPAC, End-User and other stakeholders to determine collateral equipment (CE) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) requirements.
- Assist in the programming, planning, and procurement of all CE and GFE requirements.
- Develop and maintain accurate program CE and GFE procurement lists grouped by project containing all data associated with the procurement and synchronized with the program schedule and budget.
- Participate in on-board reviews (OBRs) for developing design drawings and capture requirements for CE and GFE.
- Update project equipment lists to include approved material changes after each OBR.
- Research technical CE and GFE specifications by reviewing technical criteria packages and design drawings, gather catalog cut sheets, cost estimates, and possible sources of supply.
- Develop a plan and track the requisition process ensuring it aligns with facility construction.
- The contractors shall coordinate with the MCIPAC to ensure allocation of sufficient warehouse space to hold material until delivery to the GOJ contractor.
- Assist in the development, review, and recommend changes to the base facility requirements associated with the following three categories of equipment classifications, per the Joint Facilities Improvement Program standards (available by request), in the MCIPAC DPRI program:
Category A – USG Furnished/USG Installed
Category B – USG Furnished/GOJ Installed
Category C – GOJ Furnished/GOJ Installed
- Provide input to the Government regarding coordination with consulting agencies and discussions with the users to establish Category A, B, and C requirements.
- Coordination with MCIPAC, USFJ, USACE, or GOJ may be required.
- Assist in the management of the CE and GFE Warehouse in support of MCIPAC DPRI.
- Assist in the management of warehousing support services for receiving, storing, issuing, delivering, inventory and accountability of CE, GFE, and other equipment and material required in support of MCIPAC DPRI.
- Assist in daily oversight and management of Warehouse operations, tools, and materials (except as specified as non-government-furnished) to perform the requirements for warehousing material receipt and issue, material handling, customer service, inventory management, and disposition.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MCIPAC DPRI PMs and Logistics Analyst on all Warehouse and storage related issues.
- Provide necessary training in use of material handling equipment, to include identifying and providing safety equipment and tools to perform material handling operations.
- Plan and execute wall-to-wall and spot inventories of stored CE and GFE.
- Maintain and manage stock control database, to include creating an effective inventory database.
- Assist in the Project Build and Staging, including development and maintenance of a detailed manifest for each project at its respective location.
- Develop a storage building layout using Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel, identifying each project build location.
- Prepare necessary documentation for material identified as damaged during receipt and execute disposition to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services (DLA-DS).
- Coordinate and manage the receipt and issue of all GFE, including internal cannibalization.
- Provide weekly inventory reports, project build layout, and daily copies of all issued and received receipts accurately tied to the respective project number.
- Coordinate with the GFE Manager in development of weekly and monthly summary reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
