Microsoft Advertising’s Global Partner & Retail Media Team (GPRM) is a global sales organization within Microsoft Advertising (MSA). GPRM is on the cutting edge of the digital advertising industry, helping Microsoft solidify its position as a technology provider that powers the buying and selling of digital advertising across all aspects of our digital portfolio.

We’re looking for a candidate who can work confidently in a matrix organization and build relationships at the right level to drive satisfaction, loyalty and ultimately business results with several Microsoft Advertising Partners. The Partner Account Manager (PAM) is responsible for building and maintaining deep business relationships with our key partners and Tool Providers throughout APAC and serving as their advocate across Microsoft and the GPRM team. The position will drive share of wallet growth, new account acquisition and partner satisfaction in the account by implementing scalable and targeted solutions that help partners reach their audience. The PAM will ensure the partner is set up for success on the Microsoft Advertising platform and network by collaborating with internal teams to provide an effective and efficient service and driving the core elements of the overall partner account plan. The PAM will also work to influence Tool Providers to take a forward-looking view by building the right technology capabilities and knowledge within the partner organisation so they can manage and grow their customer base across their market.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship-Account Management
  • Build and cultivate deep business relationships with our partners and actively drive the highest levels of partner satisfaction. Serve as the face of Microsoft Advertising and act as a hub/point of contact for the partner.
  • Working with the PSE, help develop and own strategic partner account plans – set aggressive targets and drive execution of mutually beneficial conditions of satisfaction.
  • Provide targeted solutions that set our partners up for success and provide ongoing service and support, deliver industry-leading SLAs for account management activities and collaborate across multiple teams in a matrix environment to ensure optimal service management for clients.
  • Develop the relationship with the supporting tool provider where appropriate.
  • Lead partner engagement rhythm & meetings/calls including business reviews and solution selling opportunities. Ensure the right conversations are happening at the right level to grow the account. Actively follow up on all actions.
  • Work across the organisation to ensure issues and requests are channeled to the right groups and are resolved as per commitments and SLA.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting with appropriate local data that helps drive the engagement and partnership and results in opportunities and growth.
  • Build the right capabilities/knowledge (campaign management and optimization tactics) within the partner organisation so they can self-serve/manage/grow.
  • Growth/Revenue
  • Grow revenue in the existing book of business and drive the specific revenue targets across all accounts through up-sell and opportunity management.
  • Manage core scorecard metrics – revenue, MSAN adoption, total performing accounts, account penetration, ARPA and Partner Satisfaction. Implement correction of error plans where appropriate for non-green metrics.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to drive additional revenue.
  • Drive a strategic discussion: grow the account by taking a future looking approach and setting plans in action to realise goals.
  • Drive feature adoption.
  • Contribute to the Microsoft Advertising Partner Team Unit (PTU)
  • Proactively share insights to inform policies, manage channel conflict and exploit revenue opportunities.
  • Assist the PTU planning and forecasting process through a pipeline of existing and prospective partnerships.
  • Collaborate with PTU members globally to share best practices and develop the global partner business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5-7 years’ experience in account management, client service, or marketing analytics roles
  • Demonstrated ability to build deep and influential relationships with partners and/or customers at senior levels
  • Proven ability to drive a strategic discussion, scaling vertically where needed and impacting at multiple levels in a large organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business
  • 5 years of paid search and/or display advertising experience at a publisher or agency
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent online marketing skills and Excel expertise; keen ability to link data to insights and actions
  • Ability to develop and implement creative solutions and influence others in their adoption.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation experience and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
  • Language fluency both in Japanese and English
