Genesys is seeking a Senior Partner Manager for Global System Integrators (GSIs) and Alliances to build out and broaden our partnership with Global Strategic Alliance, Telco, and GSI partners in Japan. Reporting to the Director Partner Sales Lead, this key position will play an important role in driving the go-to-market strategy (GTM) with our global partners.

What You’ll Be Doing:

In this role, the primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for a dedicated set of partner accounts and the achievement of an annual target
  • Develop and execute on a partner specific execution plan. Drive activities to support the creation of pipeline including upsell, cross sell and net new logo through the partners
  • Articulate value to the Partners by articulating the Genesys Cloud value proposition, encompassing its AI and digital solution offerings
  • Initiate and build discussions with partner stakeholders across the Partners’ organization, collaborating closely to develop and enhance the Genesys Cloud practice together with the Partner
  • Secure and defend existing partner revenues and drive activities with the partners to migrate on legacy premise-based solutions to the cloud
  • Develop the partner’s skills – certifications, utilize programs and promotions to accelerate profitability for both the partner and Genesys


Minimum Requirements:

  • Ideally 8+ years’ experience in account sales or partner relationship in IT/Tech industries
  • Genuine curiosity and passion for technology and how things work especially Cloud and AI
  • Exemplary skills in building mutually valuable and lasting relationships with partners and sales teams
  • An understanding of the competitive landscape (Cloud, Contact Centre, SaaS)
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Active ecosystem building experience with global players such as AWS, Microsoft, and Google
  • Excellent relationship building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and multi-lingual fluency in Japanese and English
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to drive new acquisition sales, spot cross-sell/up-sell opportunities in conjunction with the partners to drive indirect sales opportunities
  • Ability to execute partner sales activities from an inside sales approach that meet required partner sales targets including competitive market share capture
  • Commercial awareness and knowledge of the industry. Ability to understand profitability in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to use digitization, social media and video to drive collaboration and interest
