【募集の背景 / Purpose & Scope】 •Discovery Accelerator (DA) is one of the functional units in Astellas’ research organization that delivers truly valuable products from new and innovative science to patients, and Ideation & Creation (I&C) is one of the sub-functions in DA developing a drug discovery ecosystem both internally and externally to generate innovation leading to future Venture Units. •This position is responsible for creating innovation opportunities and accelerating drug discovery research through a combination of cutting-edge science and practical experimental design
【職務の内容 / Essential Job Responsibilities】 （雇入れ直後） •Lead research programs cooperatively to create high value candidates or products with help from supervisors •Obtain key and high-quality scientific data to initiate and promote research programs by using his/her expertise and skills •Analyze acquired experimental data with scientific accuracy and reliability, and make appropriate scientific judgments •Prepare research reports properly and correctly describing the findings •Understand the vision and strategy of the company and participate in the planning of research programs •Be responsible for the negotiation and planning in contract research with help from supervisors •Report unpredictable issues immediately to supervisors •Ensure research compliance and integrity

【応募要件 / Qualifications】 ＜必須 / Must＞ •Knowledge and experimental skills in Pharmacology research (in vitro and in vivo) •Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry (over 5 years) •Master's degree in life science area •Passion for driving innovation in new research areas •Good collaboration and teamwork skills •Oral and written communication skills in English
＜歓迎 / Want＞ •PhD in life science area •Experience in executing and leading early drug discovery research projects

【給与 / Salary】 ①基本給：当人の経歴・技術・技能等を考慮して決定 ②裁量労働制の場合：裁量労働手当として職務グレードに応じて50,000～100,000円支給 ③フレックスタイム制の場合：月間の所定労働時間を超えて勤務する時間に対して時間外勤務手当を支給 ①Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability. ②When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000～100,000yen, based on the Grade) ③When Flextime System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.

【休日 / Holidays】 完全週休２日制（土曜・日曜）、祝日、5月1日、夏季、年末年始 Weekends(Sat and Sun), holidays, May 1st, summer vacation, New Year holidays
