Context / background

CHANEL Tech is leading a multi-year transformation program aiming at providing best in class solutions to its business counterparts, through a modern tech stack and a scalable architecture. At the cornerstone of the client experience, the POS system is a key component of this ecosystem, and its replacement at the heart of our transformation program. Ambitions behind this change are to elevate the Client experience through simplified instore operations and the enablement of omnichannel journeys, the strengthening of our core processes and their alignment across regions and finally the opportunity to optimize our operating and support models.

Roles and responsibilities

· Be the main IT counterpart on the new POS implementation project

· Lead the solution design with other regions, ensuring that the 3 divisions (Fashion, Fragrance and beauty product, watch and fine jewelries) local requirements are well considered and embedded in the solution core model

· Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide

appropriate system solutions

· Transform business requirements, processes and objectives; develop

necessary product modifications to satisfy business needs

· Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions

· Act as liaison with business teams for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve

software problems

· Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements

· Work self-directed and independently

· Skill-up other team members on the selected solution to build local expertise prior to the solution implementation

Qualifications

· At least 5 years of work experience with best in class Point of Sales systems: Xstore, Y2

· At least 5 years of work experience in POS consulting services or business environments, implementing POS applications

· Profound understanding of Point of Sales business processes

· Experience in developing rollout strategies

· Understanding of integration points between POS and other store/head office systems

· Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects concurrently

· Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others

· Must be result-oriented while remaining flexible and resourceful

· Good communication skills to explain, convince and eventually train others

· Good verbal and written communication skills (fluent English, Business Japanese (N2)
