The position of QA Manager requires someone with excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and technical skills to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders. The successful candidate for this role will be a proven leader who blends a deep understanding of quality assurance processes with strong leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead a diverse team of QA engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Create a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation testing frameworks. Ensure seamless integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate release cycles and enhance quality.
- Develop and enforce best practices, coding standards, and quality benchmarks for testing. Monitor quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and execution efficiency to maintain high standards.
- Plan and oversee test strategies for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and resource allocation for QA initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between QA teams and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on testing progress, challenges, and outcomes. Tailor communications to suit technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of emerging tools and technologies in the QA domain. Advocate for and implement advancements that enhance the team's capabilities and testing efficiency.
- Proactively identify and address testing challenges. Leverage analytical and technical expertise to resolve complex quality assurance issues, ensuring project success.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced technical proficiency.
- Over 10 years of experience in QA, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing automation teams.
- Proficient in frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or TestNG. Ability to design and manage robust automation solutions tailored to project needs.
- In-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and DevOps, to align testing processes with development workflows.
- Hands-on experience in integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring streamlined and efficient build processes.
- Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript to support automation efforts.
- Exceptional skills in communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences. Ability to influence and build consensus among cross-functional teams.
