Major Accountabilities

Under the overall leadership of the Regional Legal & Compliance Head, and in close coordination with the Division Integrity & Compliance Head, enable and drive ethical business conduct through the effective implementation of the Integrity and Compliance program at the region / country level.

Specifically, the Regional Compliance Officer will be required to:

  • Facilitate the oversight of the implementation and effectiveness of the divisional compliance program.
  • Chair a cross-functional regional compliance committee to drive the compliance and oversee risk management within the scope of the integrity & compliance program.
  • Work with other regional management to perpetuate a “tone at the top” that reflects the Company’s commitment to ethical and legal business conduct.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with global/regional/local business and cross-divisional peers
  • Operationally and functionally lead a regional compliance team.
  • Liason with Division, Region and Local management in the assessment of compliance coverage, skill and resource needs

Background

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in business or law or other relevant subject matter required
  • Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Law preferred

Languages: Fluent English and Japanese required

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in Compliance or related role with medical device organization
