Team Introduction
The team is responsible for setting the TikTok partnerships and program strategies for the Asia-Pacific market, evolving the value proposition for the TikTok ecosystem. We build and foster partnerships to effectively deliver strategies and programs to enhance partners' product adoption and enrich TikTok content ecosytem. Our external partners will include content publishers, broadcasters, productions, MCNs, top celebrities and other IP holders. The team will also work closely with TikTok content operations, strategy, sales, product, comms, marketing, and public policy.
- Focus on top regional content partners, lead strategic partnerships and content deals. Japanese Manga/animation will be the top focus.
- Source new business opportunities with key content partners
- Lead and support partner negotiations and meetings in complex business conditions.
- Coordinate preparation of QBR and JBP activities for accounts headquartered in the region.
- Identify new strategic partner opportunities & develop a strategic execution plan
- Act as a regional center of excellence and deal desk for complex negotiations.
- Leverage great potential of Japanese IP power and enrich fan community experience across APAC and the globe.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in partnerships and business development.
- Holistic understanding of content industry, platforms and social media
- Network in the Japanese content industry.
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to integrate central resources within a regional context.
- Data-driven, synthesizing insights through clear, concise communication.
- Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving and strategy development experience.
- Excellent English and Japanese in professional documentation and verbal communication.
