As a Surface Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the Surface device and accessories portfolio within your assigned accounts. By engaging with both Technical and Business Decision Makers, you will develop a deep understanding of their business needs and recommend solutions that empower their workforce. Your role involves guiding customers through hardware evaluations, pilot programs, and coordinating a virtual team to ensure seamless deployment and high customer satisfaction. This role requires 50% travel.

Responsibilities

- Act as the Surface Sales Leader for your assigned customers within the Modern Workplace team.
- Maintain strong operational excellence, including pipeline development, CRM management, opportunity tracking, accurate forecasting, and team coordination.
- Demonstrate a track record of closing complex deals and understanding device technology and commercial requirements.
- Possess a solid grasp of Microsoft’s business model and sales strategies.
- Serve as the primary customer interface, orchestrating internal and external resources to address customer challenges.
- Communicate effectively by synthesizing feedback from various stakeholders and presenting actionable strategies that align with customer business goals.
- Drive collaboration among Microsoft sales, services, marketing teams, and partners to build long-term success.
- Deliver compelling presentations to key decision-makers, including C-level executives, technical influencers, and industry leaders.
- Compete to win new market opportunities.
- Assist customers in making informed business and IT decisions using Microsoft technology.
- Identify and mitigate technical or competitive barriers by engaging the right resources.
- Showcase a passion for technology and its ability to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Own sales opportunities from initiation to closure by leading teams, partnering with resellers, and driving sales motions for hardware refresh, upsell, and expansion.
- Collaborate with Modern Workplace sellers to integrate Microsoft 365, Windows 365, and Modern IT solutions (Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Entra ID).
- Stay informed and share best practices with peers, continuously learning and adapting proven strategies.
- Overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Required:
- 3+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management
- OR a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field AND 2+ years of hardware sales, technology-related sales, or account management experience.
Preferred:
- 4+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience
- OR a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field AND 3+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
- 2+ years of solution or services sales experience.
- Strategic thinker with a strong execution focus, able to develop and implement business strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and financial acumen.
- Self-motivated achiever who consistently exceeds goals and expectations.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across Microsoft sales, partners, and corporate teams.
