About the role:
As a pivotal part of our Mobile Maintenance team, you'll step into a leadership role where your expertise will directly influence the performance and reliability of our critical mobile plant equipment.
Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring your crew in the Drills, Dozer, and Excavator divisions to maximize equipment availability at the lowest possible cost, while ensuring maintenance is performed to the highest standards, aligning with OEM specifications and Roy Hill's stringent processes and Safe Operating Procedures.
Duties:
- Strategically develop tasks and plans to set, prioritize, and achieve goals for both the team and individual members.
- Identify and address the development needs of your team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.
- Drive cost-efficiency by scrutinizing maintenance practices, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and productivity.
- Efficiently allocate equipment and tasks, ensuring adherence to procedures and meeting production demands.
Skills and Experience:
- Australian recognised trade certificate and manual drivers’ licence
- A solid background in mining maintenance as a qualified tradesperson
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively managing work priorities
- Experience maintaining the following heavy mobile equipment:
- Caterpillar Dozers (D10T / D10T2 / D11T / D11T2)
- Epiroc Drills PV271 & D65
- Hitachi EX3600, EX5600, EX8000
