Supply Chain Manager - High Precision Machinery - Tokyo

Client Details
Our client is a multinational manufacturer of measuring equipment. The company supplies their products to a variety of industries such as construction companies, aerospace companies, police organizations, universities, etc. Globally, the company has a history of over 100 years and they now operate as part of a conglomerate company. The Japan office consists of less than 100 employees and their main office is based in Tokyo.
Description
* Manage S&OP alongside commercial stakeholders and drive inventory optimization
* Partner with logistics service providers to manage import/export of products, as well as warehousing and delivery processes
* Oversee sales order management process by confirming reports from SAP and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders until invoicing
* Lead continuous improvement projects such as 3PL transition, repair center launch, etc.
* Manage team members by controlling each members' workload
Profile
* Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience
* Solid international logistics and 3PL management experience
* Experience working in a manufacturing company (machinery related industries preferred)
* People management experience
* Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred
* Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan
