Role Overview:

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work closely with AlaxalA NTT-NGN sales team in a defined set of accounts in the NTT vertical. The Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
  • Sales calls - be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/ educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration.
  • Familiarity with network applications and solutions.
  • Post-sales - be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate and resolve customer's technical issues.
  • Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.
  • Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with the customer, from the initial RFIs, through to RFPs & RFQs when required.

Requirements:

  • 5 - 8 years experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
  • 5 - 7 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
  • Strong understanding of Routing(OSPF/BGP), Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Network Security, 802.1Q, RADIUS, PPPoE ,QoS.
  • Analytical skills, such as understanding of equipment logs and packet capture data.
  • Experience understanding Network Security.
  • Experience understanding cloud integration, SD-WAN.
    • First, engage in SSE and target NTT East and NTT West.
    • Target sales of 160M in FY2024.
    • The overall telecom market target is a total of $35.9M(\5.6B) yen for the three-year period beginning in FY2025.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience with project management required.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Creating customer training materials and individualized manuals.
  • English communication skills.
  • SE activities for corporate resale business in the telecom market.
