The Finance Operational Excellence (FOE) Manager will develop and manage excellent operations with effective compliance controls and risk management for Finance & Strategy (F&S) in the affiliate. The position reports to General Affairs Group Manager under F&S and assists Controller and manages 1 regular employee and 3 outsourcing staff.

The position will;

1. Establish operational excellence in F&S, especially Procure to Pay (P2P) by collaborating with Controller and Procurement Manager. It must always include assurance of compliance with relevant Finance policies and procedures.
2. Promote appropriate use of expenses and remediation of violations of Finance policies.
3. Ensure AbbVie transparent disclosure based on JMPA's transparency guidelines and local laws and regulations under the supervision of Global Transparency.
4. Maintain the risk management programs including insurances.
5. Support responses to an internal audit.
6. Support financial data analysis to support development of business strategies in Finance & Strategy.

Major Responsibilities:

・Process development and implementation for P2P and other finance operations.

✓ Work with Global and/or Affiliate Finance teams to develop and implement new finance processes/tools and make necessary changes.

✓ Support Controller to educate and train employees for new implementations and changes.

・Business expense monitoring & remediation planning

✓ Develop data processing methods to detect fraud and abuse.

✓ Monitor business expenses to ensure appropriate spending.

✓ Report to Finance Director and Controller findings though the monitoring process and propose remediation actions

・JPMA transparency reporting

✓ Ensure AbbVie Japan’s disclosure based on JMPA's transparency guidelines and Clinical Research Law.

✓ Manage and update a process to accurately collect and aggregate data required for disclosure.

・Risk management

✓ Work with Global Risk Management to maintain necessary insurances

✓ Support Facility and Global Security to develop and maintain Crisis Management & Business Continuity Program.

・Audit support

✓ Assist and collaborate with Controller and other relevant managers to respond to an internal audit periodically.

・Financial data analysis

✓ Understand all relevant finance systems such as SAP, Concur, etc. including their data structure, and maintain access to them.

✓ Analyze relevant financial data to support General Affairs Group Manager and Finance Director for development of business strategies.

資格

Basic:

- Over 15 years of experience in a business and finance environment
- Robust accounting knowledge
- Superior data analytical skills
- Balance between commercials and controls
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to have sensitive and tough conversations with stakeholders in a productive way
- Intermediate or upper English language capability

Preferred:

- Over 5 years of working experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Adequate experience and interest in internal financial controls
- Over 5 years of people management
- TOEIC 800 or above
