About the role:
The Turnout team is currently seeking a Technician (Per Way Welder) to join them on a 14 Days on, 14 Days off Roster based at Roy Hill Mine. Reporting to the Supervisor you will be responsible for providing rail infrastructure turnout maintenance capability to the wayside infrastructure maintenance team.
- Duties: Turnout issues are resolved quickly and effectively
- Site teams are confident in the turnout maintenance support available to them
- Roy Hill work management processes are followed
- All maintenance standards are met on the Roy Hill Railway
- Performing Perway Welding repairs on various types of turnouts on the Roy Hill Rail Network
- Fill in duties for the Track Protection Officer when required
Skills and Experience:
- 5 years’ experience in total, 2 years of which in a Boilermaker or Maintainer Track, Perway Welder role and 3 years in a Technician Turnout Maintenance role
- Experience as a Track Protection Officer highly desired
- Current HR Licence
- TLI 21311 Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure including qualification TLISS00059 in Grind switches and crossings, check and repair points and crossings
- Cert III in Rail highly desired
- RH Rail Safeworking Level 3
