TEAMWe are the AD/ADAS Advanced UX Team.
Our team is on a mission to create user experiences that are both safe and smart and cater to all levels of autonomous mobility. We are driven by data, enriched by design, and supported by digital craftsmanship. Our team consists of UX strategists, interaction and UI designers, 3D designers, UX researchers, and project managers. We believe in transparency, open communication, and teamwork, and we collaborate daily with members from diverse backgrounds and countries.
By joining the Advanced UX team, you will represent the voice of our users and help shape the future of the automotive industry.
You will report to the Senior UX Project Manager, and this role is hybrid - you will work in the office 3+ days per week.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We're seeking a UX Project Manager who is both adaptable and dynamic. This role demands an individual who can effectively coordinate our UX researchers and designers, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and cross-department collaboration. Your key qualities include exceptional organizational skills, proactive initiative, and a thorough understanding of the user-centered design process. Your responsibilities will include steering team efforts, managing third-party relationships, and maintaining project timelines. Your role is crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency in our workflows and communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES1. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they stay aligned with the team’s vision and goals.2. Scope and Integration: Define project scopes and seamlessly integrate vendors into processes.3. Contract and Vendor Management: Manage contracts and maintain productive relationships with vendors.4. Task and Milestone Management: Prioritize tasks, manage milestones, and keep the team on track.5. Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.6. Continuous Improvement: Constantly enhance communication channels and project pipelines.7. Team Support: Foster an environment conducive to team success and adherence to a user-centered design process.8. Project Tracking: Update project management tools and track project activities.9. Collaboration: Work closely with UX Researchers, Designers, UX Simulation Developers, and UX Engineers to allocate responsibilities and timelines.10. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with department heads and the Director on Statements of Work (SOWs) and project briefs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management within a UX or design-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design processes and methodologies.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the automotive sector, especially with ADAS features and advanced self-driving technology.
  • Familiarity with design software and 3D design pipelines.
  • Bilingual English/Japanese (TOEIC score more than 860, JLPT level N3 or more)
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and handling complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve team workflows and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
