The Marketing Division leads brand, creative, marketing, and membership as a cross-group organization with a mission to expand Rakuten Group's membership value and ecosystem of over 70 services.
We believe that the mobile domain is a platform that plays a fundamental role in the ecosystem, and as the Marketing Division, we are further promoting collaboration with Rakuten Mobile.
Department Overview
User Experience Strategy is a planning and management department that oversees multiple UX and creative-related departments across the organization.
It contributes to the overall improvement of service quality by providing comprehensive support for the user experience of Rakuten Mobile and establishing mechanisms for KPI management.
Furthermore, it strengthens the entire organization by providing support in areas such as budget management, recruitment, and employee development in the back-office.
Our section consists of a diverse team with foreign nationals and extensive international experience, fostering a highly collaborative environment where ideas can be exchanged freely.

Position Details
- Conducting usability tests (design, execution, analysis, reporting)
- Conducting user interviews (design, execution, analysis, reporting)
- Creating personas and user journey maps
Work Environment
The team consists of members from various nationalities and with diverse international experiences, representing four different countries. It fosters an international culture where each member brings their professional expertise and collaborates to tackle various challenges as one team.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience in User Experience, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field
- Experience in UX research for more than 3 years
- Proficiency in research methods such as user testing and interviews
- Skills in qualitative data analysis and ability to derive insights
- Experience using prototyping and design tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify issues
- Proficient Japanese language capability is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience introducing and establishing the UX research process within an organization, while educating stakeholders and fostering it as a cultural practice
- Experience managing projects in large-scale and complex organizations
- Experience in organizational management

Additional information on English Qualification
TOEIC score of 800 or above.
English proficiency for business conversation would be a plus.
