Workshop Manager - Retail Service Division

Location: Japan

Overview: Join our Retail Service division in Japan as a Workshop Manager. We seek a structured individual with strong leadership skills and service experience to support our current and future customers through the Service team. In this role, you will drive services and solutions to meet customer needs, overseeing all aspects of captive workshop operations, revenue generation, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Focus: Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate service products to meet their requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Take commercial responsibility for service revenue and profitability of the captive workshop.
  • Process Improvement: Actively improve processes, methods, and systems to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and facilitate effective collaboration with various departments, suppliers, and customers to optimize service delivery.
  • Service Strategy Development: Play a key role in developing and implementing the service support strategy for all products, including trucks, buses, and power solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Health and Safety Manager qualification.
  • Experience in a dealership or similar role.
  • Supervisory and instructional experience.
  • Relevant work experience in the automotive industry.
  • Valid regular passenger vehicle drivers license.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of the transportation business and workshop operations.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicles and workshop dynamics.
  • Understanding of business economics.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Heavy vehicle license preferred.
  • Technical experience preferred.

Education Requirement: University graduate or equivalent experience in the automotive industry.
